I can remember that metals have dislocations - are there any other lattice features I need to know about?

There are four different types of lattice features; one is dislocations as stated, another one would be interstitials, another, grain boundaries and the other is vacancies.

IN A METAL: non directional bonds, interstitials which are imperfections in the metal, grain boundaries (where they meet), and vacancies, gaps between the ions. There are delocalised electrons.
